Cycle NZ's Northern-Most Great Ride

Pou Herenga Tai Twin Coast Cycle Trail is one of only 23 Ngā Haerenga Great Rides of New Zealand, and the only one north of the Hauraki region. Cycle through diverse and stunning scenery with magnificent views, native bush, suspension bridges, waterfalls, trickling streams, harbours, boardwalks, disused train corridors and tunnels. Explore some of New Zealand’s earliest Māori and European settlements with storyboards that immerse you in the history before your eyes. Discover the birthplace of our nation, our history and the stories of our local people. Suitable for most riders as it is generally flat with gentle climbs, most of it is easy with a few harder hills. The surface is good and can be ridden all year round.
