I have Polynesian roots and was raised and spent most of my life in Hawaii. My wife and I fell in love with this country and particularly Bay of Islands in the early 1980s and kept getting drawn back to this very special part of the world until we permanently relocated to Aotearoa in 1997.

My career was divided in thirds between corporate agribusiness management, international business development consulting and retail/tourism entrepreneurship. My hope and intent is to use the broadness of my business experience and perspective to improve the governance of Northland Inc and contribute to the identification of new economic opportunities for Te Tai Tokerau Northland.

My wife and I are now semi-retired and reside happily in Kerikeri, which is our forever home.
