Whangarei Maritime Festival

Join the festival celebrating Whangarei's maritime past, present and future at the Town Basin. Admission is free, and there will be numerous activities for all ages. There will be boats on display, including Northlands own tall Ship R. Tucker Thompson, marine trades showing off their skills, films and talks in the Hundertwasser, entertainment, arts and crafts for sale on the Canopy Bridge and much more. With virtual reality goggles, you can even drive a tanker into Marsden Cove!
