For more than 25 years, through her learning and development and consultancy businesses in Aotearoa and overseas, Karen has worked with clients in small and medium sized businesses, government departments, international organisations and tertiary learning institutes. She is passionate about helping people apply new skills to achieve the personal and professional outcomes they desire.

Karen's path over the last few years has taken a slightly different direction as her life has been profoundly re-shaped by loss and her awareness of the preciousness of time. Having experienced the deaths of 39 close family members and friends, she has sat at the bedside of some in their final moments, walked with others through terminal illness and grieved the sudden tragic losses that come without any warning. Most painfully, she lost her beloved husband Peni after 46 years of a rich and loving marriage. Karen's experiences have awakened in her a powerful commitment to live consciously, love deeply and act with intention - in everything she does. Her guiding question, "if not now, when?" is a call for her to live each day fully, without regret.
