You're Never too Old to Reinvent Yourself ...

Yolanda Wilke works as a Senior Information Security Leader and Domain Lead (CISO) at Inland Revenue and brings together over 35 years of experience across law enforcement, physical security and cyber security. Known for her results-driven and people-centric leadership style, she's built a reputation for delivering practical, high-impact security outcomes in complex environments.

Beginning her career as a detective, Yolanda led security operations across 13 African countries before immigrating to New Zealand in 2019. She transitioned into cyber security at the age of 50 and rapidly progressed into senior leadership, demonstrating resilience, adaptability and a strong commitment to continuous learning and innovation.  In her role she's responsible for security awareness, policies and standards nationally for the IRD team and oversees compliance with legislative requirements. 

Yolanda’s contributions to her profession have been widely recognised, including being nominated three consecutive years for the Women in Security Awards. She's known for her integrity, strong governance focus, and her ability to inspire teams to perform under pressure while maintaining a positive and inclusive culture.

Outside of work, Yolanda is a passionate and dedicated Mum who contributes to her community through volunteer firefighting.  She is a self-confessed nature-freak, enjoying hiking and she loves op-shopping and gardening as well as hosting Air B & B guests in her home. 

This month, Yolanda will share with us a little of her story of courage, faith and unshakeable purpose, along with: ** Current trends in 2026 and what to look for to keep your business 'cyber-safe'; ** Links to organisations that offer cyber support to small businesses; and  ** A story of stepping into fear, making change with faith, trust and a single-minded purpose that keeps her going.

If you need to cancel you may request a refund only if it’s before our event close off time (5pm on the Thursday before the event).
