Join us for an interactive workshop on how to create humour, when to use it and how to use it.
You will learn what humour is, why people laugh or don’t laugh at your jokes, the different types of humour and the techniques used to create them. You will also have fun as the workshop is full of humour and you will learn that you can be as funny as any comedian or humorist you admire because all the skills you need to be funny, can be taught and mastered.
Robin Grieve as a speaker and humorist has delighted thousands with his whimsical outlook on life. A three times NZ Toastmasters champion of public speaking, Humorous speech champion and one of nine finalists in the World Championship of public speaking.
Humour has always been important to Robin as a communication tool, and he takes his humour very seriously. He uses many different techniques to create humour and it has been said of his style of speaking, he leads you right up the garden path and then you find yourself on the state highway.
This workshop is suitable for students wanting to improve speech skills, professionals who use presentations as part of their career ( real estate agents, teachers, tutors, business leaders, coaches, lawyers etc.) Or those aspiring actors and comedians wanting to enhance their skill base.
This is a unique opportunity to learn from Robin in a safe environment/ workshop situation. There will be some power point presentation but also practical application of skills learnt.
