The Jurassic Walks at Waipu Caves Farm Park

Things to do

The Jurassic Walks is the collective name of multiple walks ranging in length and terrain set on a private 320 acre park of native forest and farmland with limestone caves and sculptured rocks along with a camp ground.

Walk a range of tracks to suit your fitness level and time. Stay in the camp ground or just visit. Enjoy a guided tour in the Milky Way Glow Worm Cave while you are here. The walks are spread around the 320 acre private park which is covered with native forest and farm land. There are lots of birds calling and one of the largest growths of nikau palms in Northland. Some tracks follow the rocky stream and others go into the hills in the forest which is strewn with ancient limestone rocks sculptured by millions of years of rain water. If staying in the camp ground you can even walk at night and see glow worms in the forested valleys on some of the tracks.
