Alt-country swamp rock act 'The Advocators' are excited to release of their sophomore album, Beyond The Palisade! To celebrate, they are touring their new album with a full 6-piece band of Northland's finest musicians. Sharing the bill on the night are high energy Auckland indie rockers, Napoleon Baby.
Beyond The Palisade is a beautiful and diverse album, moving sweetly between raucous hillbilly revelry and the darker corners of country music. The album was recorded in Whangarei with producer Dan Stenhouse at CreativeLab Studios and a host of talented New Zealand musicians including Ben Michelson (drums), Dan Stenhouse (bass), Austyn Mills (piano) Dave Khan (Viola) and Hannah Jane (Backing Vocals). Many of these musicians will be joining The Advocators onstage to create an electrifying live performance not to be missed.
About The Advocators Based in Northland, New Zealand, The Advocators deliver a gritty blend of alt-country swamp rock, crafting a sound described as trashy, sleazy, dirty, greasy – with plenty of twang. Their critically acclaimed 2024 debut album, Songs From An Endless Night, earned tens of thousands of streams, praise from Rolling Stone Australia, NZ Musician, The 13th Floor and others, plus radio play across New Zealand and Australia. In 2026, the band returns with its sophomore album, Beyond the Palisade. Lead single “One Last Ride” gained extensive airplay, while second single “Little Creeks” was a finalist at the New Zealand Country Music Awards.
About Napoleon Baby Napoleon Baby is a high-energy six-piece band blending indie rock, post-punk, and garage influences into a sound that's raw, driving, and unmistakably their own. Built on angular guitars, punchy rhythms, and sharp songwriting, they deliver intense live shows that balance urgency with atmosphere. Whether in a packed venue or on a festival stage, Napoleon Baby brings a relentless energy that sticks with audiences long after the last song.
