Tai Tokerau Timebank in Whangārei is a community of people who support each other through sharing their knowledge, skills and services, without exchanging money. Where everyone’s time is equal regardless of the type of exchange: 1hr = 1 time credit.

Timebank re-defines work by valuing your time instead of money. As a member you get to enjoy building supportive and enriching relationships with other Timebankers, their friends and whānau, have access to our workshops, community gardens and events that support more resilient communities.

All exchanges of time earn you time credits, which you can then exchange with another member who is offering the help you need. This might be garden work, dog walking, a lift, computer help, a massage, shopping or even an item that you need, the list is endless!

This is an opportunity for event visitors to join Timebank members for afternoon tea and learn about Timebanking.

EcoSolutions will be running a “DIY Cleaning Products” presentation at the same time in He Awhi Rito. By combining these two organisations with a social gathering for members, we are creating a relaxed, friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
