Open Day at Ruatuna

A day out to commemorate 100 years since Gordon Coates, 21st Prime Minister of New Zealand (born and raised at the property), won the 1925 General Election held on 4 November.

Enjoy the view to the Kaipara Harbour while you picnic on the lawn listening to live music. Take the guided tours of the property and all its historic buildings and sites, learn from the heritage experts and talk with members of the local artists collective creating at the site. Visit other local properties associated with the Coates family on your way home. There will be something for everyone on this day.
