The Whangarei District Council and proud to bring you Movies in the Park for Chinese New Year!
Join us to celebrate Chinese New Year with two outdoor movie screenings on the LED big screen and a range of cultural performances. This free family event held at Pūtahi Park is suitable for the whole family. Bring along a picnic blanket or seating and find a spot to settle in.
3.30pm Mulan (1:55mins G Rating)
6.30pm The Climbers (2:05 mins PG Rating)
Popcorn, candy floss and other sweet treats will be available to purchase on the day.
A cultural performance thanks to The NZ Asian Culture Development Ltd will perform from 5.30pm that will include Chinese folk music and dancing including the popular Lion Dance.
This event is a smoke free, vape free and alcohol-free.
