Get ready to parade! Mermaid Bait are taking to the streets for a free, family-friendly roving parade through the heart of Whangārei. Cheehoo!

Starting outside on Quality Street (outside Amici Italian Restaurant), the parade will wind its way through town before finishing at Cameron Street Mall.

Bring your whānau, bring your friends and bring your best parading self. Dress up, get colourful and come along for an afternoon of merriment with your mates: Mermaid Bait.

About us: Mermaid Bait are a colourful, family-friendly band from Whangārei, Te Tai Tokerau, known for vibrant performances, wild costumes and big band energy. Mixing brass, punk, ska, dub, indie and a bit of organised chaos; the epic group of 12 brings a fun and unforgettable experience that gets crowds vibing, dancing and having a great time. Part marching band, part theatre; Mermaid Bait transforms spaces into lively celebrations of music and community. Shows are inclusive and made for audiences of all ages.
