Matariki Night Ride

Let's light up the night! Join Whangarei District Council Road Safety team to celebrate Puanga Matariki with a free, whānau friendly night ride.

Decorate yourself and your bike with battery LED lights, UV reactive fabrics, glow gear, and anything that shines before riding a short, safe circuit together with whānau and friends.

The ride starts and finishes outside the Whangarei Library and parades around Cafler park. Spot prizes, games, and wheelie good fun for all ages. No lights? No problem! Join our Decoration Station from 4–6pm to get ride-ready.
