Mangonui Waterfront Festival

Whats On

The Mangonui Waterfront Festival - Last of the Summer Wine - is held annually at the end of the summer season and showcases what the Far North has to offer in Food, Beverages, Art/Craft and Entertainment. It provides a platform for local business to sell their products and is an opportunity for people from near and far to experience the Mangonui historic setting, while enjoying the family friendly atmosphere.

The 2023 Festival will be a 10th Year Anniversary (3rd time lucky after Covid-19 Cancelled events 2021/2022) and will see up to 100 stalls placed within the event site. This is made up of food stall providers, local craft beer and local wineries, art/craft/jewellery/clothing, and a number of community groups. It also provides visual water entertainment with Taipa Sailing races, and TBC Traditional Waka, and Paddle Board Mad-Dash race. There is also free children's entertainment.

3 separate stages are set up within the festival venue. A main stage, a more chilled stage and a youth stage.

The first Mangonui Waterfront Festival was held in 2012 and now attracts up to 5000 people of varied age and residence.
