Makana® Confections manufactures and retails premium, world-class chocolates and other tantalising treats at its boutique chocolate factory in Kerikeri.

Makana® has become a “must see” visitor attraction in the Bay of Islands where visitors can observe our dedicated and skilled chocolatiers at work, handcrafting an inspiring and decadent range of exquisite sweet treats from truffles, panaches to our award winning ‘Macadamia Butter Toffee Crunch’. Visitors can enjoy complimentary samples and shop in a spacious, architecturally designed retail space with plenty of car parking. We ‘hand on heart’ promise the whole family will leave with a huge smile!

All our confections are genuinely hand made on the premises using natural ingredients without the addition of any preservatives or artificial colourings. Vegan friendly chocolates and treats are also on offer.

A special emphasis is placed on the quality of the packaging of our products. We realise that confections are often purchased as gifts, so our passionate and meticulous team work hard to ensure our presentation is impeccable.
