Keri ART Trail 2022
Whats On
Enjoy this Labour Day Weekend in the Bay of islands and explore the studios and galleries of 20 local artists on the Keri ART Trail 2022. Get a free map to begin your journey!
It’s a free event open to all art lovers, friends and families! Take this opportunity to meet and talk with artists in their work studios and purchase art directly from the artists. Learn how the artists create their pieces, what inspires their creations and the inside story that each piece holds. Discover original masterpieces in wood, ceramics, sculpture, jewellery and contemporary paintings in oil, acrylic and watercolours. Some galleries accept eftpos or credit, while cash and bank transfers are accepted everywhere.
The Keri Art Trail is a 50 km long looping trail, allowing trail goers to start at any studio on the map and go in either direction. There are 12 stops on the trail and driving time is about 55 minutes. Studios will have signs posted but artists won't be open on Monday (see free guide).
In past years the KOAST Society offered a trail over Labour Weekend, but this is gap year for KOAST. Thus, a few of us created Keri ART Trail, a simpler, version, without sponsors or an advertising campaign, funded by small contributions from the artists themselves! So please tell your friends!
Get the Free Trail Guide at Kerikeri Garden Centres, the I-sites in Paihia and Kaitaia, and the Procter Library in Kerikeri.
