Tahamoana has a lovely grassy amphitheatre surrounded by mature trees, in the garden of Deb and Dave Browns villa property, overlooking Bream Bay. Camping spots for self contained campers available. This event is fun for the whole family with foot stomping pieces that will have you smiling for days. Go to the beach, or enjoy lunch at one of Waipu's fabulous eateries, during the day and then pop on up to the event in the afternoon to round your day off. BARLEYSHAKES (Ireland & Australia) Alan & Kristin Kelly are two founding members of the well known Irish powerhouse band the Barleyshakes. Together they bring you upbeat sounds of Ireland on sweet sensuous fiddle, and spirited guitar. Recipients of Queensland Music Award for World music and notably Alan has recorded as a bodhran soloist on the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. In 2025 they toured extensively in Australia and Europe, playing sold out shows in Ireland, France and the UK. The band is renowned for their great stage presence and dynamic shows that they have evolved by touring their home country extensively and touring in Australia. Their songs stand out on their own too as the band recently won the Best Folk Artist 2018 TUI at the New Zealand Music Awards for their debut album One Eye Open.
