From Pita Pockets and Humus to Large Plated Meals with fragrant rice, or even a bowl of Crispy Fries with aioli and tomato sauce, Fat Camel offer a delicious range of healthy, tasty food to satisfy almost every pallet and dietary requirement. Situated in picturesque European style Quality St, in the heart of Whangarei. Fat Camel provides Dine In, both indoor and outdoor, Take Away, Delivery and Catering as well as a Take Away Party Box, for your home or picnic catering requirements.

Best you try the coffee while you're there, Fat Camel has won the Northland Barista Awards multiple times and their experienced Baristas cater for a full range of coffee needs using Laffare's  own Fat Camel Blend of beans. Coffee's available using dairy, soy, oat, almond or coconut milk, it's your choice.

Fat Camel breakfasts, served until noon, are out of this world so be sure to get in early so you don't miss out on the experience. The café runs a counter service from 9am to 5pm, after which time table service begins, with the kitchen closing at 8.30pm, take-aways are available all day long. Home delivery service is available through the Delivereasy App (may not be available to all locations). 

This is a busy little café with friendly staff and a lot of local regulars, not to mention the travelers that return again and again to get their Fat Camel Fix. Reservations are not essential, but recommended for groups of 6 or more or during the summer months is you want to guarantee yourself a spot. Extra large groups, may be advised to choose a set menu option.

The café is fully licensed and has a small selection of wine and beer available to enjoy with your meal.

Kids meals are on offer and the café has 2 high chairs should you require one. The place is flat and wheelchair assessable. Parking can be found in Vine Street, a 2 minute walk away.
