One night only — and one for the memory books. Far North on a Fork is our signature tasting event that brings together the best of the region’s land, sea, and soul. It’s not just a dinner — it’s a night to celebrate who we are, where we live, and the people who grow, fish, harvest, brew, and create the things we love.

This special five-course menu is designed to honour our local producers. Think smoked kutai from The Kutai Guy, spray-free greens from Sun and Soil, artisan sourdough from The Breadery, fresh meats from Windy Ridge Butchery, and beautiful olive oil from Kaingaroa. Each dish is paired with a drink, from local wines and Black Collar spirits to our citrusy 90 Mile Breeze mocktail.

You’ll dine by candlelight in the heart of Peekaboo’s backyard, share tables with fellow food lovers, and meet the team who crafted each course. We’re known for our solar-powered copper oven, our award-winning sustainability ethos, and our team’s love for service with heart, and this night brings all that together.

Peekaboo Backyard Eatery recently was recognised as New Zealand’s best hospitality business, taking home the Supreme Award at the 2025 Lion Hospitality New Zealand Business Awards for Excellence. It also won Best Café and the Sustainability Champion Award. So yes, they are worth the trip!!
