‘I Have a Dream’ exhibition

From our ongoing partnership with I Have A Dream Charitable Trust we are delighted to present a vision of the future from Year 3 students at Tikipunga Primary and Totara Grove Primary. Inspired by Hundertwasser’s thoughtful and humanising approach to architecture these students have tried their hand at creating buildings suitable for the spirit of man and at harmony with nature.

The Hundertwasser Art Centre with Wairau Māori Art Gallery celebrates painter, architect, ecologist and visionary Friedensreich Hundertwasser and contemporary Māori artists. Visitors have the opportunity to enjoy different spaces: the Hundertwasser in New Zealand 1973-2000 exhibition, the Wairau Māori Art Gallery, the Aqua Restaurant, the Museum Shop, a small film theatre screening a film about Hundertwasser and our Afforested Roof.

We will be hosting many events in our Activity Centre as part of ArtBeat 2025!
