With Special Guest Joanna Foote Joining us for this special evening is acclaimed soprano and Kerikeri native Joanna Foote, accompanied by pianist Roger McLean. Together, they will present a spellbinding selection of highlights from the opera and song repertoire—an enchanting musical journey to stir the soul. Celebrated for her “beautiful voice which reaches high notes effortlessly” and “sparkle-eyed charm,” Joanna holds a Master’s degree in Music from UCLA, Los Angeles, and is a regular soloist with NZ Opera. Her performances have included Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro, Mary Crawford in Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park (2024/25), and leading roles in Romeo and Juliette and The Cunning Little Vixen for Festival Opera. Internationally, Joanna has captivated audiences in Graham Vick’s Death in Venice at Deutsche Oper Berlin, and as Rose Maurrant in Street Scene at the Paris Châtelet and Barcelona Liceu. Her European tours have featured major roles in La fille du régiment, Le Nozze di Figaro, Così fan tutte, Don Giovanni, L’elisir d’amore, Falstaff, and The Merry Widow.
