At the centre of our business support eco-system is the Regional Business Partner (RBP) Network.
It’s a programme funded by the Aotearoa New Zealand Government and delivered by our Growth Advisors here at Northland Inc for the Taitokerau Northland region.
Sessions with a Growth Advisor are free for Taitokerau Northland pāhiki.
How it works
- To book your free Discovery Session with a Growth Advisor, all businesses need to be registered with the Regional Business Partnership Network (RBP).
- To complete your registration, you will need a New Zealand Business Number (NZBN).
- Once you have your NZBN number, complete the registration process on the Regional Business Partnership (RBP) Network.
- Once you are registered on the RBP website, you’ll be directed through to your allocated Growth Advisor to book in a discovery meeting.
Register your business on the RBP website
Discovery Meeting Location
Your Discovery Meeting can take place at The Orchard Business and Event Hub in Whangārei (where we are based), online or at one of venues we regularly travel to around the region in Kaitaia, Ngawha (Kaikohe), Dargaville, Waipu and Mangawhai.
What happens after your session?
After your Discovery Session, your Growth Advisor will come back to you with an Action Plan. This can include any mix of things – and will depend on what's most relevant to you. It can range from simple things, such as introducing you to a useful new contact, through to helping you into some key management training or facilitating support for your new R&D project.
Your Growth Advisor will be your main contact person and your new business champion! They will check in regularly to see how you're going. And they're always just a phone call away if you need them.
FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR SUPPORTING BUSINESSES
One of the options your Growth Advisor can explore with you is whether your pāhiki qualifies for funding to develop your business skills from the Management Capability Fund.
Capability Development Voucher funding helps business owners access business training and coaching services, by providing them with up to 50% subsidy towards the registered service cost.
Before committing to a course of action you will have the opportunity to meet with the training providers directly. Your Growth Advisor will help you weigh up your options and will follow up with you to ensure you are getting the help you need to grow your business.
One to Some Training Workshops
These workshops are registered with the Regional Business Partner Network (RBP) as a one to some workshop and your business may qualify for part-funding.
