Just 3 weeks into his new position as Manager at the club, Peter met with Growth Advisors David & Emma from our Business, Innovation and Growth team to explore how we could help him with plans to grow the number of green fee players they can attract.
Peter had identified that marketing was the critical next step for the club and was interested in ways he could lift the club’s profile as part of a wider golf experience in Northland.
“My initial contact with Northland Inc was at the recommendation of a marketing specialist that I was exploring working with. Although I discovered that as an Incorporated Society, we are not eligible for funding available through Northland Inc, they were able to connect me with their regional promotions team. I have already attended one of the tourism marketing workshops they held and found this really useful”.

Our Growth Advisors connected him to our Trade Marketing Manager and she was able to provide Peter with a list of promotional opportunities that he could take advantage of straight away for the club.
