Travel trade a key focus for region | TRENZ

Posted on May 08, 2017

Northland’s travel trade marketing has been a focus this year for Northland Inc’s trade marketing manager, Karly Bent.

“Markets of focus this year are India, Australia, North America, China and South America, and we will be attending Tourism New Zealand organised trade events in each of these key markets during the second half of 2017,” says Karly.

At these events Karly will be educating key travel sellers and supplying them with tools to effectively sell Northland as a place to visit. Check out the trade marketing calendar of activity for 2017.

Karly attended an event in April updating New Zealand based inbound agents on new product and development in Northland. She trained 50 STA travel agents from the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia when they visited New Zealand last month and she will also be attending an event in Auckland training 60 agents from one of the United States’ largest travel agent network’s Down Under Answers prior to TRENZ.

TRENZ - promoting Northland to the world

Northland is being represented by 12 businesses at TRENZ, New Zealand’s largest annual business travel trade event in Auckland from 9-12 May. More than 300 agents from across the world will be attending the event.

“Northland’s presence will help to attract more visitors that book through travel agents and online travel agencies offshore to the Northland region,” says Northland Inc’s trade marketing manager, Karly Bent.
