Northland Inc to deliver new incubation services for Northland

Posted on July 18, 2017

Northland Inc has partnered with ecentre at Massey University to deliver incubation services to Northland start-ups for the first time.

ecentre is a leading incubator hub for tech start-ups, winning a Callaghan Innovation service expansion contract, announced in June by the Science and Innovation Minister, Paul Goldsmith.

ecentre CEO, Jackie Young, says winning the Callaghan Innovation contract is a significant indicator that its programmes deliver results. “Now, in association with Northland Inc, we can help more businesses validate and develop their business ideas, build their customer base, get investment ready and go global, more quickly,” she says.

From August, Northland Inc’s Business Innovation & Growth (BIG) team will have a dedicated resource to deliver the programme from The Orchard for Northland.

ecentre will also base a dedicated resource in The Orchard regularly to support the Northland Inc team with programmes, workshops and 1-1 support for aspiring businesses.

Northland Inc GM Business Innovation & Growth Joseph Stuart says access to the programme will be “on demand” for those start-up entrepreneurs that show the aspiration and dedication to grow their businesses.

Entrepreneurs interested in accessing the incubation services can approach Northland Inc directly by contacting one of their business growth managers. Northland Inc will also look at engaging potential clients through activities such as ThePick:2017 business ideas competition and as part of the business as usual BIG team activity.
