On December 13 1987, the Rainbow Warrior was laid to rest with full Maori ceremony in the waters of Matauri Bay, Northland, New Zealand.
This artificial reef is now home to a host of marine life. Jewel coloured anemones cling to the rails in hues of purple, yellow and blue.
